LeakBot’s device and app provide daily plumbing checks, water usage insights, and instant water leak alerts and LeakBot’s expert plumbing repair service ensures any issues are professionally assessed and addressed. Together, they help safeguard your home from hidden water leaks that can potentially lead to costly repairs.

No. The LeakBot device, monitoring, and repair service are provided at no cost to Bear River Mutual members. There are no hidden fees or subscription costs.

No, the LeakBot device and service are free and have no impact on your Homeowners coverage or premium. Bear River Mutual does not currently offer a discount along with the free LeakBot device and service.

Clip your LeakBot on your home’s internal main water supply line, about 1 to 2 feet after the pipe enters your home, but before it branches off to other areas. For more details, refer to your Installation Guide.

  • Download the LeakBot app to your Apple or Android smartphone or tablet.
  • Create an account in the app and register your LeakBot.
  • Connect LeakBot to your device by following the activation instructions.  

LeakBot’s patented Thermi-Q technology accurately measures both the air and pipe temperatures in the home.

If there’s a water leak, it picks up on the change in temperature and sends you an alert right away—so you can get the leak repaired before it gets worse!

If a water leak is detected, LeakBot will notify you via the LeakBot app, by text and by email.

A trained LeakBot plumber will arrive at your scheduled time, wearing a LeakBot shirt for easy identification. They’ll diagnose and repair any covered leaks detected.

If the issue isn’t covered–such as for leaks requiring parts over the $250 limit, or repairs involving restoration of damaged areas—the plumber will explain the problem and outline your options. You’ll receive a quote for any additional work, and it’s up to you whether to proceed.

Please note: LeakBot plumbers are not available for emergency services.

It covers labor and materials for a LeakBot plumber to fix low-flow water leaks—like pipes or fixtures—subject to a $250 individual parts limit.

The LeakBot repair service doesn’t cover any damage resulting from a water leak (such as drywall, carpet, etc.), any restoration because of LeakBot performing a repair (such as patching drywall or laying flooring), or assessing, remediating, or abating mold.

Yes, though at your own expense. Bear River Mutual and LeakBot are not responsible for third-party repairs.

Yes, you can opt out at any time, which will also cancel the free LeakBot repair service. Please note that the device and monitoring service can’t be transferred to other homes or consumers. To deactivate, email help.us@leakbotsupport.com for simple instructions.

The data collected will include the status of the device (active/inactive) and water flow events. Bear River Mutual may contact you if your device is inactive. LeakBot data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

LeakBot takes cyber security and protecting customer data seriously and has added additional layers of security into their product to provide further protection.
