Utah Disaster Kleenup

Brandon, Russell, Connor, Christian and Wilfredo were the amazing team who responded to our call regarding a flooded basement. They arrived less than an hour after we placed the call for help.

Upon arrival they immediately unrolled a hose to the basement and started to extract water and evaluate the disaster. They quickly had a game plan doing one room at a time removing water and carpets, pulling furniture from the walls and locating them in the center of the rooms. Then the big fans and humidifiers were placed strategically with care taken to not blow fuses.

The Herculean job took approximately 6 hours to complete. The entire crew was pleasant, professional and polite. In light of the circumstances it was a relatively painless process removing the water which filled the entire basement.

Now we wait for things to dry. Javier and Tayden were here this morning for further evaluations to lay out the next steps for the massive cleanup project.

We are thankful for UDK and can’t even imagine what we would have done without their aggressive response!!

Great service! I’m very impressed. I called them at about noon on Sunday, the day after the biggest rain storm Salt Lake has had in a hundred years. Russell and Christian were here within two hours and took care of my flood damage. Highly recommend!

Our basement was flooded and the water was mainly in a large room where we store LOTS of stuff including many large heavy pieces of furniture. James coordinated cleanup. He had a crew on the way here within a hour! Sheryl and Jayden were amazing at relocating everything and getting the mess cleaned up. They are hard-working and very polite. Highly recommend!

Ricky and Alex at UDK were excellent — very thorough and professional. No one wants to deal with mold cleanup, but they put us at ease knowing everything was taken care of. We really appreciate their work!

These are the best humans, hardest workers, and the only reason I haven’t lost my mind with our hideous experience of Jordan Valley Water’s Transfer pipe exploding right behind our home. More than 3,000 gallons of water per second rushed into our home in minutes. Busted through the windows. Our boulder wall sunk and shifted from the force of the water. It took Jordan Valley over 90 minutes just to shut the water off, and it’s now been 2 days of water continuing to gush through our yard, our earth still slipping out from under us, no power, gas still shut off.

If these beautiful people weren’t working circles around everyone else to help us, I don’t know what I would do.

Russell from UDK came to remove an oil leak on my driveway. He was kind, understanding, a great communicator & thorough! My cement is 70 years old, he carefully used the least invasive method & proceeded step by step to the most aggressive process while preserving my cement. Repeating the process 3 times, putting pads down overnight, making sure it wouldn’t inconvenience me & asking my UDK inspector, to assess the work the next day. If needed, he would repeat the process the next day. Russel was amazing! I’m so glad he did my job!

Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Cedar flooded and they were there, hours later, saving the day! Trenton and Tyson came in and started to go to work right away they are amazing!!!

As the Board President of a 23-unit condominium COA, i find myself in charge of disasters. In 2025, we experienced one of those disasters. We had a flood that affected multiple floors and our basement utility room.
I had worked with UDK before with good results so they were my first, and only, call. They arrived in a timely manner and immediately took charge. They handled the situation sympathetically and professionally.

We had a bathroom leak due to faulty plumbing in the joint between water pipe from water main to bathroom (plastic to copper). Utah Disaster Kleenup provided a permanent fix of the leak, restored the wall board and painted the installation with same color finish, removed and restored the flooring, built a custom cabinet and counter to suit wheelchair use, removed and reset the toilet 3 times so it could be used by my handicapped wife and all is now properly finished and looks better than new!

I cannot say enough about Tonka, Robert and Debbie. They took a very stressful and devastating situation and made it bearable. Their team was efficient and detail oriented. They were professional and kind. They treated my home as if it were their own. They put my home back together in no time. I would highly recommend their services. Jimmy Johnson did the drywall which he did a fabulous job. He showed up when he said and stayed until the job was completed. He also helped move furniture which was not his job.

We contacted UDK yesterday, today Sheryl & Joseph showed up a 9 am and by 1:30 had the affected areas closed off, drying mats in place, protective sheets of heavy paper on the stairs and halls, and their work was checked by their supervisor. They were very pleasant and professional. So far, so good. We just need the rogue water to be on its way..

These guys are awesome! Our basement flooded so I called UDK. Scott was here within 15 minutes and he had a crew here within about an hour. After a sprinkler valve flood in our crawl space they were on it. water vacuums , dryer fans and great follow through by administration. I would absolutely recommend.

After basement flooding noticed mold on stairs. Utah Disaster Kleenup mitigated the problem. Only negative because they started on a Friday didn't return til Monday. Left exposed staples on the stairs, where the tarps were attached. Staff was friendly. I would use them again.

UDK has been fantastic, and I would recommend them without hesitation! When our basement flooded due to a burst hose bib, I initially thought only about the water in the basement. But the project is SO much bigger.

Get out the wet belongings. Extract the water. Dry everything out with fans. Pack up multiple rooms and storage. Get it all out. Remove the damaged flooring and walls. Replace them. Put it all back together. It’s a huge project!

UDK has teams for each part of the project. Their unified approach to project management and specialized teams to focus on each portion meant that each step happened quickly and efficiently.

I really appreciate their help and would call them again if the need arose. I should also mention that my insurance company had nothing but praise for them as well. Given their position, that speaks volumes.

Russell, Sheryl, Landon, and Beto did an amazing job clearing out our main floor to get ready for our flooring repair. They were in and out in less than an hour, super respectful with our things, and very kind and professional!

What a great team of people I had at my house. Starting with Nathan assessing things and then Andrew and Conner showing up. There was some heavy traffic delays that morning and Andrew called to keep me posted on what time they would be arriving even though they were stuck in traffic. We had an upstairs shower leak into our pantry and UDK was out first thing the next morning to check it out. They got to work right away removing the wet drywall, letting it air out for a couple days then returning to patch the ceiling. They did an amazing job and you can’t even tell there was work done to the ceiling. The price was definitely reasonable, but the customer service and attention to detail was exceptional!! I hope I don’t need them again, but they would be the only company I use in the future for this type of damage.

My cities main sewer line was blocked which caused my basement to flood. Tyler, Ricky and Javier came within an hour. They moved all the furniture from 4 bedrooms and secured it to avoid damage. Once the city cleared the blockage and water stopped coming up. They clean up all the water, pulled all the carpet and tile and disposed of it. When they were done they put fans, air scrubbers and dehumidifiers. They also created a containment wall so the smell would not come upstairs. High recommend. They communicated very well and let me know what needed to be done and so that I could understand. They were knowledgeable and extremely professional.

Showed up right away after we called about the water leak. Great contractors and the damaged walls and carpeting in our rooms were restored in perfect condition!

Tyler from the Layton location showed up on time, was easy to communicate with, went the extra mile to help me resolve my issues and completed the project much faster than expected! Javier (Draper location) also responded quickly to my requests. I could not ask for better performance!

Our basement flooded last night so we called Utah Disaster Kleenup. Alex and Joseph were here in just over an hour to get started with the cleanup and they worked until it was at the point where it was ready to have fans and a humidifier drying everything out. They communicated well and helped us understand what to expect for next steps. Today Taylor and Nathan came out to assess damage and progress on drying out the carpet. And they are checking back in tomorrow. Very good first impression of the company! They have alleviated the stress of having damage to our home. Thank you for being a great resource for us when we had a problem we couldn’t fix by ourselves!

I’m adding to this post because it turns out the damage was more extensive than we originally thought. So they sent out the mitigation team to help move all of our belongings from the basement and to pull up all the flooring and cut out drywall etc. Just like everyone else we’ve met so far, the mitigation team was very pleasant and super respectful of and careful with our belongings and helped make a difficult situation manageable. UDK did an awesome job. This was an insurance claim and they took care of everything even dealt with the insurance for us so we didn't have to. The only problem was one of their drywallers wasn't doing their job and they replaced them which was a good thing. They brought in Jace. Well, I'll be honest, when I saw that he was younger, I got a little worried. Well, Jace went over and beyond and did a job better than I could have even imagined. He was very very professional, communicated to me when needed and was very clear. His skills were excellent and I knew if i had questions or concerns, he would answer them or take care of things. He is a great asset to you company!!! Thank you so much for taking care of us!

I recently had a huge flood - of course late on a Friday night. They came that night and did great work and all the way through the process. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again if needed!

UDK cleaned a mold situation as a result of a roof leak. The team was very professional and did a fantastic job!

We unfortunately had a water incident in our building which affected several apartments. UDK was in and out from the first moment we might have had water, the moment we did start seeing water, and still now days later, checking on what needs to be done. Mine was luckily the least damaged of them all, yet they never belittled my experience, even though it was much much less than other apartments were facing. Each person coming in and out has been polite and compassionate, patiently explaining what might be coming in the future, what was happening right then, and what to look for so we could participate in keeping our apartment as safe from further damage as possible. This all began late at night, and though they had to disturb us several times overnight, they were as considerate with noise and disturbance as they could be. One time my son slept right through it even though they were bringing in large equipment through our disarranged tightly packed hallway. We are very grateful that they are the ones who were contracted to help all of us through this.

Quick and Friendly Service. We had a sewer back up at one of our rental properties and the technicians that came out were through and got the job done professionally. We have always used UDK and will continue going forward. Highly recommended.

Our house flooded in the middle of the night and we were so stressed out. The UDK team though was so helpful, calm, and you could tell they knew what they were doing and did it all efficiently and effectively. Karston was so great at explaining things as they popped up too. It made us feel in the loop with things and that everything was being handled professionally. It is always a privilege to work with UDK on their projects. As one of their subcontractors we get to see first hand how well they treat their customers and the quality work that they put out when restoring peoples homes after a disaster. Would recommend them time and time again.

The guys were great. They were efficient and quick. The clean up team (Javier, Russell, and the other guy) was personable and helpful and Andrew who did the demo was wonderful!

We had an after dark major water leak call, and Justin and his crew were out there within the hour. They did a very neat job and protected all our belongings. They had to remove a lot of drywall and throw rugs, and move a lot of furniture. Had plenty of huge fans and a dehumidifier which dried the place out in a few days. They cleaned up well and left no mess. They seem very professional, with state of the art tools for measuring moisture and room measurements. Our insurance company (Progressive) has been pretty slow in responding, so we haven't gotten the repairs done yet, but we plan to use UDK for that, too.

When you have a disaster, it is very important to find a company that will respond quickly and take care of your needs. UDK has excellent communication skills, they are responsive, and do a great job of mitigating disasters. You can count on UDK.

The entire staff is kind, efficient and hard-working. However, I was shocked at how expensive our flood was. In hindsight, I probably would have just gotten the water sucked out and rented all the equipment from Home Depot and saved thousands of dollars. This was my first flood so I was not quite sure how to handle it and it was after hours. Regardless, there’s no doubt that they do a good job and are there when you need them.

This is flood number two in 6 mounths. The first flood I had ServPro do the work, but I had to pay to have the pad put in, buy and put in the baseboards and put all the furniture back. UDK IS THE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a slow leak under the sink that required more than simple repair. UDK was quick to come assess the damage, then quick to repair at a more reasonable price than others. They did a great job after the plumber did his part!

We had water coming into our basement through an exterior wall. I called UDK and they responded with a mitigation team within 1-1/2 hours to set up fans, etc. After the mitigation, the clean-up crew came in and removed all the damaged drywall, etc. Next came the repair crew, who put the basement den back together. The crew even did a couple of small paint touch-ups for me (not related to the basement flood)! Great people to work with! And they are on my insurance company’s list of suggested companies….

UDK is our go to water mitigation company. Living in a mountain town with multiple new construction units, we are frequent customers. The team is quick, courteous, and strategic to address the issue and then work on a game plan to make sure it's like it never happened. Highly recommend Jame and the team.

Last Spring, I had a bad leak in my roo leak into the laundry room. The ceiling in the laundry room came down. UDK came out the day of and cleaned it all up and thoroughly dryed it and gave me an estimate for the repairs. After the roof was repaired, they came back and did the repairs in the laundry room and repainted the entire room! They did a great job from start to finish and were great to work with. The price was very fair too. I highly recommend UDK! 👍👍

Russell was absolutely incredible for helping us with mold remediation. He was able to skillfully remove the affected spaces, identify what was causing the issue with a very weird situation, and give us next steps to prevent and fix it moving forward. He also went out of his way to help us wrap my wedding dress, which had been affected, in plastic so we could safely transport it to the cleaner. He worked very safely and effectively to preserve as much as possible and ensure as little spores or dust was spread while he worked. He also made very clean and precise cuts, which will make repair work so much easier. He was incredibly polite and professional, and worked very quickly. He also had the brilliant idea of reserving pieces of our wall, floor board, and carpet pad so we can more easily match them when doing the full repairs. He was also able to refer us to a repair company that UDK works with make the repairs. We would highly recommend working with UDK in general, but if you happen to get lucky enough to work with Russell, you're in for a wonderful experience.

All of the employees are super nice and helpful. It was easy to work with them. They did a great job cleaning up a flood in my home. They left the place looking better than before. Utah Disaster Kleenup made the process much easier. I would use them again, highly recommend this company.

UDK came out right away when my basement flooded and worked hard to get my basement drained. I appreciate that they were fast and efficient. They were also very fair with pricing. I'm old and live alone and it was an emergency so I'm glad they were honest and didn't take advantage of the situation. I highly recommend their services!

I not possibly be happier with the service I got from Utah disaster Kleenup during my recent flooded basement. No one likes to have a disaster hit their lives, but if unfortunately something happens and you need help, UDK is definitely the first number to call!

UDK was quick to respond to our “leaky roof”emergency! Both the clean up and the repairs were completed in a timely and professional manner. The damaged area was throughly cleaned and painted (even the rest of the wall that wasn’t damaged). I was very happy with their work!

James managed the clean up of a mold issue at my house with calming reassurance. He had the hazard cleaned and the source remediated more quickly than I imagined possible. As part of the project I had to replace some carpet, so we made a plan to recarpet that entire level of the house, remodel a bathroom, update all the smoke detectors to the 10 year variety (I have HIGH ceilings so this was a huge relief) and we changed the door handles/locks and repurposed my old cabinetry to "new garage cabinets." James and his UDK crew are a delight to work with and they miraculously stayed in the original budget. I highly recommend James and UDK to anyone who needs help with a disaster or a remodel - they have the resources and experience. I felt comfortable with them in my house and trusted my animals would be safe if no one was home.

Utah Disaster Kleenup UDK did a fantastic job at my house. Friendly, respectful, well organized. They seem to be friends and I often heard them chatting and chuckling while working. One thing I really appreciated was that they arrived clean, had masks on the entire time and cleaned up after each shift. I felt comfortable with having them coming and going in my home. The team made sure I got the best quality within my budget. During this time team members at UDK kept in touch with me making sure everything was going well. So very happy with all they did for me! James and the UDK team are amazing to work with. When a flood or disaster occurs, you want to hear that everything is going to be ok. Many cleanup or insurance companies leave you wondering what’s going to happen next and are things going to be ok. James and his team do the exact opposite which is refreshing and makes dealing with a terrible situation so much better. This was my second UDK repair after my vacation rental flooded during Sundance in 2019. The first repair was seamless, we were able to keep all of our rentals, and all repairs were done well with no sign that anything ever happened. UDK dealt directly with the HOA and insurance, and I just had to pay my $1,000 deductible. When a fire sprinkler went off in August 2020 in our brand new personal condo, UDK was quick to come out in the middle of the night to start drying out and salvaging what they could on the 8 damaged units. The cleanup was extensive and thorough, down to providing each owner with mold tests after the repairs to give us the peace that this terrible event is behind us. James was extremely understanding that these were not even 5 month old luxury homes and we wanted our units repaired to how they were before the incident, if not better. James coordinated with our insurance company, advocating for full coverage of our losses when they tried to lowball us. Every detail was perfectly handled. My unit suffered the most damage and James has been there each step of the way over an almost 5 month repair to make sure everything was done perfectly. James brought out his best trades to complete my high end renovation with perfection down to the smallest details. I highly recommend James and the UDK Park City team for all your disaster cleanups small and large.

James was awesome! He came when he said he would. He assessed the situation and explained everything I had questions about. He dealt with our insurance company - and they weren't easy to deal with. He also reached out to contractors we preferred. I can't recommend UDK's PC location enough! It can be so hard to get people to come up here. So glad they're in PC.
