Full Job Description
The Total Loss Adjuster assists the vehicle owner through the claim settlement process when the vehicle is determined non-repairable. This position will be responsible to proactively investigate, negotiate, and assist our customers with vehicle valuation, salvage, rental, and total loss settlements. This includes proper documentation and resolution of claims based upon the applicable law, policy coverage, and supporting evidence.

- Review and analyze documentation in support of claims submissions
Qualifications of this position
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience specific to the insurance industry
- Required knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of good faith claim practices. Working knowledge of the standard auto policy coverage, insurance and motor vehicle statutes and tort law, as well as insurance rules and regulations.
- Experience required: 1-2 years insurance industry experience, preferably with prior personal lines automobile claim handling experience.
- Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills, excellent negotiation skills, well organized and attentive to detail, ability to resolve conflict amicably, reliable and self-directed, familiar with the use of operation systems and applications, able to type 40+ wpm
